Rhode Island Democratic Party Chair Liz Beretta-Perik resigned Tuesday in the wake of her husband Michael Perik’s indictment by an Ohio grand jury on felony fraud and racketeering charges, a day after she said the indictment had “nothing to do” with her or her role as party leader.
